May 31st - Memorial Day

Another year and another Memorial Day has come and gone. This year, I really took a moment to remember those who have lost their lives fighting for our freedom. It's a very sobering thought.

May 30th - Phish Food

Ben and Jerry's Phish Food is one in my large list of guilty pleasures.

May 29th - Petunias

Now one of the things that yells Summer to me are pentunias. This is the time of year when they start to pop up everywhere.

May 26th - Tulips

We're almost to June most of the tulips have passed their prime. When I woke up this morning to get the mail, I was happy to see a couple of while tulips covered in dew.

May 25th - No Sew Fleece Pillows

The second craft project Liria and I made were no sew fleece pillows. They were incredibly easy to make and they turned out so well. She absolutely loved them and took them to bed with her.

May 24th - Friendship Pin Bracelet

I remember as kid loving craft projects and I knew that Liria was out of school for the summer so when her mom asked me to watch her for a couple of nights, I ran over to Joanns and picked up a couple of projects. This is a photo of the friendship pin bracelet we made.

May 23rd - George and Lance

Today Lance and George invited me over for a barbeque. I'd never been to their new home and let me tell you, it's fabulous. The porch alone is the size of my living/dining area.

Our flight back to Denver wasn't scheduled until late afternoon so we all deciced to play some pool to pass the time. We had such a great time. I fogot how fun playing pool can be.

May 14th - Vegas Baby!

Our company meeting was held in Las Vegas and the boys and I decided to tour the strip and take in a Circque du Soliel show. We had a blast and on our way back, stopped to get our photo taken with one of the many attractions along the way.

May 13th - Hydrangeas

I think hydrangeas are one of the prettiest flowers so when I saw that Ricky had a pot sitting on her counter, I knew that this would be my picture of the day. What I love most is the shade of blue.

May 12th - Latte

This is a my 3rd visit to watch Latte. Like most of the bigger dogs I watch, she is a very low key and as long as she is fed and gets let out a few times during the day, she's a happy camper. I like happy campers!

May 11th - Goslings

For the past few days, I've seen goslings everywhere I go, but never in a spot where I could take a picture. Well today, they were by a little pond across the street from where I parked my car at lunch. I grabbed my camera and was able to take a few shots before their parents led them way.

May 10th - Big Tree Spring

I've been waiting for the big tree in my courtyard to bloom so when I came home from my last pet sitting job to see all the little leaves I was thrilled.

May 9th - World's Best Mom

I'm sure every child on earth thinks that their mom is the best, but I can attest with 100% certainty, that my mom is!! She's always been there in her quiet way whenever I needed a shoulder to cry on, a cheerleader to cheer me on or even just to hang out and be my friend.

May 8th - Sunflowers for Mom

For Mother's Day this year I didn't want to spend a fortune on flowers so when I was at the grocery store and saw these beautiful sunflowers, on sale nonetheless, I knew they would be a perfect centerpiece for the kitchen table. She loved them!
